20th Annual Keys Kids Fishing Derby
Oct. 15, 2017

There is no charge to enter but anglers must be Monroe County residents. There are three fishing divisions: Shoreline, Backcountry and Offshore and awards for three age divisions, 4 and under, 5-7 and 8-10. There are lots of prizes with winners in all divisions! Sign up early as the first 100 registered anglers are guaranteed ditty bags. Sign up at Tackle Center of Islamorada, Caribee Boat Sales, at the Lorelei in person or online. . Lines are in at 9AM and weigh in closes promptly at 1PM.

Ladies Let’s Go Fishing!” Keys University

Female fishing fans can learn or polish angling skills during the award-winning weekend seminar. More than 8,000 female graduates have immersed themselves in the annual lighthearted yet skill-heavy curriculum to learn and hone abilities in offshore, bottom, inshore and fly fishing.

Islamorada Sailfish Tournament

Nov. 30- Dec. 3, 2017

The first leg of the triple-crown Florida Keys Gold Cup Championship series is the only tournament in the series to offer a junior division for anglers age 16 and younger. Unlimited anglers are allowed per vessel.

IFC Sailfish Tournament
Jan. 24, 2018

Presented by the Islamorada Fishing Club, the event is the second leg this year of the three-pronged Florida Keys Gold Cup Championship series and typically draws a field of up to 30 boat teams of elite sport fishermen. A total cash payout for a full field at the IFC Sailfish Tournament could reach $30,000.

Cheeca Lodge Presidential Sailfish Tournament
Jan. 26-28, 2018

The Presidential is one of the most prestigious offshore tournaments in the Florida Keys, and this year is the third and final leg of the Florida Keys Gold Cup Championship. Anglers compete for beautiful trophies and prizes with sumptuous banquets held at beautiful Cheeca Lodge & Spa.

Islamorada Women’s Sailfish Tournament
Feb. 2-4, 2018

In this light-tackle challenge, awards await the grand champion team (boat), first runner-up and second runner-up team, captain and mate. Other awards are presented for the high-point angler, outstanding catch, largest tuna, dolphin and kingfish, most tagged sailfish and hard luck. Proceeds benefit the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys.
